These days it seems that everybody is using AI to help them do their work… or to do the work entirely.
This is especially true for aspiring writers.
Perhaps you’ve seen the ads that tell you how you can get AI to write a complete book for you in five minutes, which you can then publish as your own work (without actually doing any of the work).
Many people only use AI in a limited way, as a “tool” to provide summaries, compose or edit emails, etc. This may indeed cut down on the amount of time required to complete a writing task. But writing is thinking. You can’t let an AI agent do your writing for you (even if you just use it as a “tool”) without it also doing your thinking for you.
So… given the times in which we now live, I felt obliged to make a declaration here in this blog.
I do not use AI in any way at all when creating this blog. I never have, and I never plan to.
I’m hoping that the kind of people who find a blog like this interesting will also find a declaration like this reassuring.
